*This is the phrase the great conceptual artist Gordon Matta Clark used when people asked him about the legendary restaurant FOOD which he opened with Carol Goodden and Tina Girouard and run with the help of fellow artists in 70’s Soho, New York. FOOD was more of a cross between an art project, a group initiative, a meeting place and a means to make a living for people who celebrated alternative cooking and communal eating.
