Edible spoons: Use them and eat them!

Narayana Peesapathy, is the founder of Bakey foods -the company that launched the idea of edible cutlery back in 2010. The edible utensils are made of millet rice and wheet and come in different flavors. They do not contain conservatives, yet they boast a shelf life of 3 years. If they are not eaten they will decompose in 4-5 days.

The price for 100 is 4 dollars -which is slightly more expensive from plastic. However, according to Mr. Narayana, this will not be for long: “Once I get volumes, I get out to the farmers directly and start procuring raw material directly from the farmers in which case, my spoons will be just as cheap as the plastic spoons.
