Incorporate BIO Microgreens into your children’s diet

BIO Microgreens are rich in vitamins and nutrients, making them an ideal addition to children’s daily diets. Here are some ideas on how to encourage your children to eat them:

1. Add them to daily meals, starting with mild-flavoured microgreens such as kale, beet, basil and broccoli.

2. Blend microgreens with fruit and/or yoghurt to create delicious and nutritious smoothies or juices.

3. You can add chopped microgreens to soups, stews and all roasts just before serving.

4. Try to incorporate microgreens into salads they already enjoy, gradually introducing microgreens with stronger flavours such as rocket, radish and chives.

5. If your kids like mustard in their sandwiches, try replacing it with mustard microgreens. This is a great idea for adults too!

6. Give them pea or sunflower microgreens as a snack, along with sticks of other vegetables.

It’s important to note that children only need a small amount of microgreens. About 1/2 cup a day is ideal, providing the same vitamins as a large salad.

Encourage them to try different kinds until they discover their favourite flavours. Offering a variety also helps keep them engaged in healthy eating.
