Peanut Butter-Banana French Toast with Honey Drizzle

Noone has ever missed the sound of the alarm clock on Sunday mornings. This is the week’s day that starts out on a random hour and goes on without a specific schedule. Despite that, it includes a routine favored by the gourmands who take the opportunity to dedicate a few more minutes in the preparation of their morning extravagance.

The jar with FoodsCross’ premium honey boasting 80% thyme pollen grains is first to be taken out of its shelf, then the fresh fruit, the peanut butter and the warm bread. In less than 15 minutes breakfast is ready to be served either in bed for romantic occasions or on the family table. Accompany the recipe below with freshly squeezed fruits, tea or coffee.

Peanut Batter- Banana – French Toast with FoodsCross Premium Honey

Ingredients for 6-8 pieces
2 large eggs
½ cup cream, (whipping or heavy whipping)
¼ cup creamy peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 Tbsp butter
1 loaf French bread, sliced into 1-inch slices (6 to 8 pieces)
2 bananas, sliced
FoodsCross Premium 80% honey, for drizzling

Preparation:
In a blender, add the eggs, cream, peanut butter, and vanilla. Blend until smooth. Pour the dipping batter into a low, wide bowl. Heat a griddle or large skillet to medium heat.
Add 1 tablespoon butter. Dip bread slices into the batter (both sides) and place into the heated pan. Cook until the first side of the French toast is lightly browned (about 3 minutes), then flip and cook the other side an additional 2 to 3 minutes, until lightly browned on that side too. Remove the French toast to a platter, and continue the process with the remaining ingredients until you run out of batter. Plate the French toast and top with bananas and a drizzle of honey.

COOK’S NOTE You may replace the 80% honey with FoodsCross’ 60% honey that is also rich in thyme pollen grains but is not as rare as the first limited edition one. Its quality is still higher than that of the honey you can find in the commerce.
